I do not know whether it has been already asked or studied, but I wonder whether some variation can be combined. For example, "King of 960" could be that we start from a random position among the 960 and in order to win, we should either checkmate or go into the central square. A thing that should be cheked by computer is whether some starting position have a forced win.
