Time on TV.

Hello,

I recently (or not in fact i don't know when this happen) was on TV and for 6 minutes please haha.

I'm obviously very surprised and since I'm curious I wanted to know which game of mine was on TV.

Is that possible ?

Thank you :)

(please excuse my english)
There's no way to do it, but we can probably guess.

Given your rating, it's probably when you were playing a variant of some kind. So check for games in variants against higher-rated opponents.
Ok I suppose it's one of my 2 chess960 games then.

thank you for having satisfied my curiosity !
Are the highest rated players in any variant given precedence to be featured on TV?

What determines who is shown? I have often seen ~1500 rated players or lower on 960, but surely there were higher rated games being played at the time, or no?
From my experience it seems to feature games with the highest average ratings of the two players, and shortest time controls for variants. That is, bullet and blitz games seems to be featured on TV more frequently. Having a high atomic chess rating, I tend to get featured on TV a lot, while I don't believe I've been on TV for any other variant unless I'm against a high rating player.

You can always check the source code if you know scala.
I am on TV as frequently as you are, even though you are a top 50 Atomic player, and I'm not in the top 100 in any variant.

No, I don't know scala, but maybe I need to learn it, since I've seen questions answered by telling me to check the source code on more occasions than I can count. I'm not a programmer, coder, developer, or moderator of any kind, but I feel as if hellball and others are subconsciously trying to welcome me into their world, and I want nothing to do with it.

It's probably just laziness on their part, which also happens to be why I don't delve into such truths on my own.

I tend to get featured on TV a lot for my Anti rating.
