Push notifications are sorely missing from this great app. Being notified of moves and meesages right on your phone (see Chess With Friends and Chess.com apps) would honestly make this app perfect.
+1 on this . I'm playing a correspondence game with my friends, and I have to send sms, saying that I moved. And on other games, I have to constantly check if its my time.
It's a little disconcerting this hadn't been added as I agree it is sorely needed.

Ditto, chrome notification is fantastic and helps tide me over, but seriously need some sort of push notification.
As an interim, or have an option from the the chrome notification app to push to your phone, I can leave a tab open
Or an option to auto-message that you've moved via hangouts
